If you wish to transfer a domain from one domain registrar to another, you will need to go through a couple of security steps. One of them is getting a special EPP authentication code from the current registrar company – on the condition that you are the registrant, since the code is sent to the owner's mailbox and no one else can see it. You will have to give this code to the new registrar company, otherwise they will not be able to begin the domain transfer procedure. The EPP authorization codes are case-sensitive and may include numbers or special symbols such as commas or dots, which can be easily miswritten, so make sure you copy & paste the right code. As an extra safety measure, the transfer code for a domain may be changed on a regular basis. Certain domain registrars refer to this code as a domain secret, a domain password or an Auth key as well.

EPP Transfer Protection in Web Hosting

In case you’ve got a Linux web hosting, you have registered a domain name through us and you’d like to transfer it away, you can obtain its EPP transfer code with no more than a few mouse clicks. When you sign in to your Hepsia Control Panel and visit the Registered Domains section, you will see all the domains that you’ve registered with us listed alphabetically. To the right of each domain, you’ll notice a mini EPP icon for all generic and country-code Top-Level Domain extensions that require an EPP code in order to be transferred between registrar companies. Clicking on the icon will email the code to the registrant’s email straight away. In the same section you can also see and ultimately change the email address, if the one there is not valid any longer.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Hosting

If you have a semi-dedicated server account with our company and you’ve registered a domain name that you wish to transfer, you can obtain the EPP transfer authentication code stunningly easy through the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer both your account and your domain names. If you go to the Registered Domains section, you’ll see an EPP button to the right of your domains, as long as their extensions support transfers between registrars with such a code. All codes are sent automatically by our system to the registrant’s email address to make sure that only the owner of the domain can get this info. If the current email is not valid anymore, you can update it with a couple of clicks without having to leave this section of the Control Panel. The update is instant, so you’ll be able to request the EPP code for the respective domain name straight away.
